Ingredients

Original recipe (1X) yields 8 servings
1(5 pound)beef brisket
1(10.5 ounce) canbeef broth
¾cupsoy sauce
¼cuplemon juice
¾tablespoonliquid smoke flavoring
1(8 ounce) packagecream cheese, at room temperature
1tablespoonprepared horseradish
Directions
Place brisket in a stainless steel or glass container. Whisk broth, soy sauce, lemon juice, and liquid smoke together in a small bowl; pour over brisket. Cover and refrigerate, 8 hours to overnight.
When ready to cook, preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
Transfer brisket to a 9×13-inch baking dish; discard marinade.
Bake in the preheated oven until fork-tender, about 6 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read between 195 and 205 degrees F (91 and 96 degrees C).
Mix cream cheese and horseradish together in a small bowl until well combined. Serve with brisket.

Marinade and cream cheese horseradish gravy kicker are great. I kept marinade in as braise liquid and then separated fat at end. Using low salt soy sauce is best as liquid reduces. 2 to 2.5 hours for starting room temp meat uncovered at 320 F. Result was brisket strips. I can understand if explicit directions are followed, shoe leather is result. I usually use recipes as guide and implement my own sensibility in execution. Thanks for sharing!
